The 45c card was produced to tie in with the third Star Wars film released in 1983. It is likely the card was designed some time before the film release, as it bears no pictures of the new figures released for Jedi. The card in fact only shows forty-five figures, and the last three of the Empire Strikes back series (4-Lom, Zuccuss, Tie Fighter Pilot) are not pictured, despite the fact these figures appeared on this cardback. The figure picture on the rear is in fact exactly the same picture as on the Empire 45-backs. It appears that only figures from the Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars films appear on this cardback, none of the ROTJ series were available until the appearance of the 65-back series of cards. In the bottom right corner of the card back are the letters '(ROJ/1)' signifying this was the first Jedi card released.
