The first release of figures from the film 'The Empire Strikes Back' appeared on a 30-back card. Ten new figures had been added to the range available, and these were pictured on the reverse of the card. Most of the new figures shown are hand painted prototypes, and differ slightly from those figures eventually released. The bottom part of the card back shows pictures of the Imperial Troop Transporter vehicle and the Palitoy Droid Factory playset. It seems that only the ten new Empire Strikes Back figures were released on this card. Figures from the earlier series (as well as the second series of ESB cards) appeared on the almost identical 30B cardback, which had a slightly larger Palitoy logo amongst other differences. None of these figures has yet been seen on a 30A card, but the Star Wars series figures are very scarce on a 30-back, and some may yet show up on a 30A card.
