The 41A card was produced for the second series of ESB figures. This card is almost identical to the American Kenner 41-back card, though with the all-important Palitoy logo on the front. This logo is smaller than those found on the 30-back cards, and has a small box underneath the logo which contains trademark details.

The rear of the card shows the expanded range of figures now available, plus several of the toys at the bottom of the card, most of which relate to the Hoth battle scenes from the film.

The second series of figures had already appeared on 30-back cards prior to the release of this version, even though they were not pictured on the reverse of the 30-back card. It would seem that no figure made their debut on a 41-back card, which makes them a little less popular with some collectors.

Figures from the Star Wars series also appeared on 41-back cards, and seem to be more common on this card than on 30-backs.

Interestingly, from the information I have gathered so far, it would seem that each of the first 41 figures was only released on one version of the 41-back card, either an A,B or C card. There isn't any obvious pattern showing yet as to the choice of card for each figure. Hopefully as I gather more information in the Figure Matrix the logic (if any exists) will become apparent. It may just be that I haven't found any 'duplicates' yet.
